![]() ![]() It's really awkward to use reactively against mobile infantry, and it's a bit of a crapshoot if it's going to be successful against that one support crew that has been set up in the same area all match but refuses to just take a rocket to the face. I dunno, I think it's a balanced unit in a really flexible commander. It just does a better job at it than the base howies. I don't think it's OP, but I feel like it's a frustrating unit to play against (but so is any of the mobile barrage artillery, so go figure.) Land Mattress's thing is that it has such a wide area of effect, but that general feel seems like the British identity right now: designating areas that the opponent is not allowed to be in for a period of time while the rest of the army takes up a position and digs in. ![]() Thats not telling of rocket arty, but more of the meta in that mode. From what I've seen, its more of an issue in 4v4 because of the way most games play out. I honestly think rocket arty is in a good place at the moment. Why? Because they generally have a harder time dodging them. What do you mean? Its not even just for blobs, its usually team weapons or arty that gets targeted most of the time. You come to that conclusion when you blob and run right into where its firing ,and expect to come out unhurt But when you compare it to this stupid "landmattress too quick need moar time to react!" BS, I just think of the pwerfer and cant justify how you would come to that conclusion. Its good that its become quite viable now. ![]() Now I'm not saying that the pwerfer is "OP" and in need of changes. ![]() The time on target is relatively quick too, and it supresses/pins any unit caught in an AoE. Its loud, yes, but it fires its salvo in short order. The pwerfer is a mixed bag, and probably the hardest rocket to predict and dodge imo. Calliopes are much like katys in that regard too. Although I've learned to "snipe" pretty well with katys now. It becomes obvious what the target is with situational awareness. You can hear katys a mile off, just like the Stuka. Then I "got gud" and learned how to predict and dodge it most of the time. I use to hate the Stuka Fuss, as it used to hit/wipe my units with precision. Its better than the russian kathyusha at squadwiping. Originally posted by A table:Neither of you know how to aim and predict. ![]()
